Am I the only one..

who sees the irony in having "Picutre Menu Available Upon Request" written on the drive thru menu at Burger King?

I mean.. really... If I can't read and thus NEED a picture menu.. .. .. .. How the hell will I know it's available?

  • I used to feel bout the same way, until I was working at Mickey D's many moons ago, and encountered deaf people.

  • Ok, I can see the need for Picture Menus if you are dealing with deaf people, but what I don't get is this...Why is there brail at the bank drive through ATMs?

  • As adjunct to the comment by latin lover, I imagine that the ATM's are generic models that can be used for different applications. However, in the interest of pure irony, it is sort of strange, isn't it? And most highway signs are symbolic. Besides even illiterate people can achieve a modicum of reading sufficient to function on the road. Again, my apologies for the language; I DO talk this way all the time.
