Letters to Nowhere

You know what?

I hate Christmas music. I mean really really loath it. This is no doubt not helped by the fact they start playing it at 12:01 am on Thanksgiving day and don't stop until sometime in January. Arrrggggg....

If I were forced to choose between listening to an hour of Christmas music or masturbating with a cheese grater... .. Well, they are doing some amazing things in the reconstructive plastic surgery field.

Bahh Freaking Humbug!

  • Amen to that! I sooo agree with what you are saying. We have a radio station here is So. Cal. that starts playing Christmas non-stop 24/7 from the day after Thanksgiving until the day after Christmas. It's enough to make you want to do yourself in. Bah Humbug indeed.

  • Right! I'm thinking the handle isn't so sharp!

  • You are not alone Jen...not only can I not stand the music but shopping in crowded stores, wrapping presents and decorating.

The only reason why I actually do it is because if I don't I'll never hear the end of it from my mom. "What kind of mother doesn't decorate for her kids?"

Ask Les, he heard me whine about it just the other night...I have good reason ;). When you come from a family with 65 first cousins you have to buy and wrap for and that's just the kids you eventually grow to not exactly enjoy the holiday season.

  • The local Dallas station that plays Christmas music started after Halloween (the bastards).

  • Okay, I don't think I can visit your blog anymore. ;)

I am the COMPLETE opposite! I listen to it from Halloween on; 24/7! I have 268 Christmas songs on my iPod!

Fa La La La La La La La La Laaaaaaa

  • I start hearing Christmas songs, and I get all hinky. It's true. it's also true that Anna did, in fact, do some whining about her aversion to Christmas, and for good reason. But, on the other hand, she can wrap presents like the devil! I certainly can appreciate the spirit of the season. And I don't pretend to be politically correct about "the holiday season". NO, folks, it's Christmas that we celebrate. Of course, if you heard my last name, you'd swear I'd be celebrating Chanukah. In any event, Christmas songs can only be played so many times before they get grating on the nerves; sort of like a cheese grator.
